Want to Build More Than Just Your Stage Time?
Most comedians learn how to perform.
Very few get the opportunity to learn how the comedy business actually works.
Lexy's Crew is our comedy apprenticeship program for comedians who want to grow beyond the microphone. Whether you're interested in producing shows, booking talent, hosting, marketing, sponsorships, touring, or one day running your own room, Lexy's Crew provides hands-on experience while helping build Eugene's newest comedy club.
Members have the opportunity to earn paid roles, commissions, production experience, mentorship, networking opportunities, and expanded performance opportunities as they grow through the program.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will I be paid?
Yes. Depending on your role and responsibilities, opportunities may include hourly pay, flat-rate event pay, commission-based earnings, producer splits, or paid performance opportunities. Compensation varies by position and project.
Do I have to live in Eugene?
No. However, you must be able to reliably attend the events you're assigned to and participate in our in-person weekly production meetings.
Do I have to be a comedian to join?
No. While many members will be comedians, Lexy's Crew also welcomes people interested in event production, marketing, sponsorship sales, hospitality, photography, videography, and other behind-the-scenes roles that help bring our events to life.
Will joining Lexy's Crew guarantee me stage time?
Yes. One of the benefits of Lexy's Crew is guaranteed stage time through our club-produced open mics and designated development opportunities. As members grow through the apprenticeship, additional hosting, guest spot, and showcase opportunities may become available based on experience, reliability, and program progression.
Can I still submit for your regular showcases?
Absolutely! Lexy's Crew is separate from our standard booking process. Whether or not you're a Crew member, you're always welcome to submit for our monthly showcases through our website.
How much time should I expect to commit?
It depends on your role. Some positions are event-based, while others require additional time for planning, marketing, sponsorship outreach, or production meetings. Expectations will be discussed before placement so you know exactly what you're committing to.
Can I start as a Producer Apprentice or Showcase Manager?
Maybe. Most applicants will begin as Crew Members. However, applicants with relevant experience in comedy production, event management, marketing, or sponsorship sales may be considered for direct placement into a higher role after the interview process.
Is this a volunteer program?
No. Lexy's Crew is a paid apprenticeship designed to provide hands-on experience, mentorship, commissions, and career development while helping build Lexy's Comedy Club.
Can I produce my own show someday?
That's one of the long-term goals of the apprenticeship. As you progress, you'll learn how to build budgets, book talent, market events, secure sponsors, lead a production team, and eventually pitch and manage your own showcase.
When does the program begin?
We'll kick things off with an informational Q&A meeting, followed by an application and interview process. Our first Crew Members will begin supporting our returning fall pop-up events before transitioning into the grand opening of Lexy's Comedy Club.
Can I stay a Crew Member if I don't want to move up?
Absolutely. Advancement is optional. Some members may enjoy working events and earning extra stage time, while others may aspire to become producers or Showcase Managers. The apprenticeship is designed to support both paths.
